Eurêka

Amazing!
So that line of lyrics I never understood, in that song I really like, is a reference to West Side Story!!!! YEY!! From Maria's and Tony's duet "Somewhere"! I guess it makes sense...
that really is the whole fun of references, like doors to other dimensions, shortcuts to other magical kingdoms! you know references can hang around a long time
waiting for their own moment
waiting for our understanding to meet them
references are very patient creatures
the danger for them is not to lose patience because they never do, the danger is if we forget them
or if we give up trying and decide to forget them
that makes them very sad, and it is indeed a sad situation
because it's like a lost dimension!
so how do the travelers get back? and it feels like such a waste... a whole universe sinking into absentmindedness

Anyway it's just a really nice feeling when an enigma meets clarity by chance
when least expected
it feels like a little bubble popping, and when it pops it feels like a twinkeley happy llittle wink and poke on the way
waving all it can
and so my head feels like an enigma less heavy right now :)

and so it made me smile (which was well needed considering the sadness of the scene)

even more so because two years into regularly listening to that song, I hadn't thought the enigma would pop clear tonight, going to see friends singing in a musical. And they did a great job by the way, it was a really nice show.

Music is amazing. It does things. Music like a library. It fixes memory, it is a substrate for emotion, it makes you feel things, even feelings that weren't yours initially, music like chemistry, it takes you back or projects you forward, music like a time shuttle. It sometimes sends shivers, that note, that note I wait for when I listen to that song, that note, just perfect, at that moment of the song, that note that makes that song so precious (to me).

A bit like people sometimes, the little things they do, the way they move or how they see things, colors, the words they chose, that is what should be on an ID card, because that is what makes them, much more than the basic facts. I guess it JUST AS WELL those little things stay well out of ID cards... Where would be the fun? Where would be the enigmas?

I guess humans are like music sometimes. References, libraries, time travellers, into generations and into families. Maybe we are just a substrate to information we don't even know about. So our job is to be peaceful and happy so as not to modify the information too much?

That's all for now
A tout à l'heure
