sometimes

Sometimes you meet somebody who teaches you the most important things
without a word
that person teaches you to speak, to listen, to understand, to feel to heal
teaches you lightly, without pressure, without going against your nature
it feels like that person guesses everything and gets it right each time
it is beautiful and clear
it takes a good teacher
a very old peaceful free soul indeed
that person is patient and empathetic
does not react to pressure, noise, anxiety or impatience
even though it would be easier to
but it wouldn't be teaching you
that person reacts to truth
if you ask that person a question, and get no response
it is not because you are being ignored
but because that person
- with a patient smile, and patience can be infinity -
is teaching you patience, and attitude
ultimately: wisdom
waiting for the right question to be asked
at the right time
and with the right words
and might wait forever
never doubting you will get there
moments to listen and moments to question
do not doubt
listen to the teachings
learn to tune in
to your wider self
and then
(I smile)
learn to listen to the answers
it's gonna change your life for ever
don't be surprised
be grateful
