Distance and veils

Every lie to yourself is a veil between us.
Every veil between us is a distance.
Every distance is painful and it makes me want to hide. 

Yesterday you visited and I had to look away.
I don't know why and it is troubling me.
For some reason there were two pale green suns.

Strange. I only know of one.
